Uganda Men’s 7s internationals Aaron Ofoyrwoth and Pius Ogena have arrived in Denmark to feature in the Copenhagen Scandinavian Open 7s tournament.

Ofoyrwoth and Ogena were selected and invited for the tournament by the Egg Chasers Rugby franchise. They will play for the Lion Rugby 7s team.

The two departed at Entebbe International Airport on Wednesday night and have now joined the team in preparation for the tournament which will be played from August 10-11 at the Speed Rugby Club in Copenhagen, Denmark.

Lions Rugby 7s is in Pool G with the defending champions Jagerbombers. The prize money for winning the Cup is EUR 1000 (about four million Uganda shillings).

Ofoyrwoth and Ogena’s participation in the tournament means Heathens and KOBs will miss their services during the Entebbe 7s this weekend.

The two join Nobert Okeny as the other Ugandan internationals to have featured for Lions Rugby in a European 7s festival tournament this year. Back in May, Okeny played and won the Cup during the Amsterdam 7s, plus Alex Aturinda and Philip Wokorach for Schimitar Storm.
