This is not a drill. Black Pearls have won yet another circuit on the Nile Special 7s Series. Where they stopped in the 2023 series is where they have resumed this year.

They won the women’s Cup Final at the 2024 Entebbe 7s after beating home team Avengers by 26-12 points.

Grace Auma scored a hat trick of tries and Lydia Namabiro clinched one try as the Black Pearls outwitted and overpowered a resilient Avengers side.

Avengers were no match for Black Pearls even when they were handicapped by two separate yellow card spells. They settled for a consolation try by Peace Lekuru in the last play.

Black Pearls received a UGX 1,000,000 cheque from series sponsor Nile Special as the prize money for winning the Cup.

They top the overall standings with twenty-two points, three ahead of finalists Avengers and five ahead of bronze match winners Thunderbirds.
