Overview:
Besides Handball, the other sports disciplines at the 2024 FEASSSA Games include Hockey, Volleyball, Badminton, football, basketball (3X3 and normal basketball), netball, Rugby (7’s and 15’s), handball, athletics, swimming, tennis and table tennis.
The 2024 FEASSSA Games draws were held on Monday, 12th August at the GNS Plaza Hotel in Kampala.
Handball is among the games on the menu at these games that bring together students from Uganda, Kenya, Tanzania, Rwanda and Burundi.
Boys:
There are ten schools in total which have been divided into two pools; A and B.
Group A has Kakungulu Memorial SS and the reigning national champions Wampewo Ntake from Uganda with the Kenyan duo of Kimili Boys High School and Saniak Secondary School.
Bunda Secondary School from Tanzania completes the teams in pool A.
In group B, Ntare School and Mbogo Mixed School are from Uganda. The others include Magnus Secondary School, Rwanda’s Adge Gatsibo and Hospital Hill Secondary School.
Girls:
The host country has two schools in group A; Kawanda Secondary School and Kibuli Secondary School in the female gender.
The others are Tanzania’s Njombe Secondary School and Rwanda’s Kiziguro SS Gatsibo.
The schools in group B are; Mbogo High School and Gombe Secondary School (Uganda), Murinduko Secondary School and Kwanthanze Secondary School (Kenya) and Tanzania’s Kilombero Secondary School.
For starters, the FEASSSA Games this year will take place in Uganda, in Teso region, co-hosted by Bukedea Comprehensive School and Amus College.
