Sport-S registered a hard-fought 3-2 (31-29, 25-19, 21-25, 12-25, 09-15) victory against Nemostars in the National Volleyball League at Lugogo Indoor Arena on Sunday evening.
It was a closely contested but thrilling affair as both sides fired at each other.
Nemostars took a comfortable 2-0 lead, but Sport-S came from down to secure the bragging rights on the day.
Nemostars held on to take the first set 31-29 to draw first blood in the encounter. Both sides struggled from the service box, hence dragging the set.
Sport-S made unforced errors in the second set, allowing Nemostars to run away with a 25-19 win.
However, Sport-S pulled back one set 25-21 after improving greatly with its reception, setting up an exciting fourth set.
Sport-S were in full mood and momentum extended them towards a positive stride after taking away the fourth set 25-12 in a one-sided show.
Sports-S sealed the victory with a 15-9 lead in the final set as the fans completed the encounter on the edge of their seats.
