Uganda has been drawn in the same group with nemesis Tanzania in the forthcoming AFCON U17 CECAFA Zonal Qualifiers.
The draws were held on Thursday at FUFA Complex in Mengo, Kampala with hosts Uganda placed in Group A.
Besides Uganda and Tanzania, Group A also has Ethiopia and Burundi.
The other Group (B) has defending Champions Somalia, South Sudan, Sudan and Kenya.
The tournament is scheduled to kickoff on 14th December and will run up to 28th December 2024 at Nakivubo Stadium and St. Mary’s Stadium, Kitende.
It should be noted that the finalists earn the two slots to represent CECAFA at the AFCON U17 final tournament.
