Lugazi FC put up a resilient display to pick a point away against SC Villa in the game played at Muteesa II Stadium, Wankulukuku on Friday.

Despite conceding early on in the game, Lugazi FC rallied back to force a one-all draw and continue with their good run that has seen them unbeaten in five games.

Charles Lwanga fired SC Villa into the lead as early as the 14th minute as the hosts looked to set the tone for the game.

However, Lugazi FC remained calm and composed. They nearly level matters in the 26th minute through Emmanuel Obua but goalkeeper Meddie Kibirige pulled off a fine save to deny him.

The equalizer eventually came ten minutes after the break with Abdul Kalanzi hitting the back of the net.

Despite attempts from the hosts to regain their lead, Lugazi remained resilient to earn a point.

The result leaves SC Villa 8th on the table with 15 points while Lugazi FC are 11th on 12 points.
