Fortebet Real Stars Sports Monthly Awards (December 2024):

This Tuesday, 7th January 2025 shall witness the first crowning ceremony for the Fortebet Real Stars monthly awards in the year 2025.
The event will be held on Tuesday, 7th January in Kampala.
This will be in recognition for the exceling crop of sports personalities for the previous month in December 2024.
Nine sports personalities have been nominated in the sports disciplines of boxing, netball and football, as announced by the organizing team.
Boxing:
Three boxers are on the nomination list. These are Nuhu Batte, Owen Kibira and Ezra Ssali.
Others:
Netball:
In netball, three Uganda She Cranes players; Margaret Baagala, Mary Nuba and Gloria Aya were nominated.
This trio was singled out for their contribution to the team which finished second behind champions South Africa in the 2024 Africa Netball championship hosted in Namibia.
Football:
In football; two Uganda Cranes’ players Jude Ssemugabi and Allan Okello and Uganda Cubs’ lethal forward James Bogere.
These three players were influential during the month of December 2024.
Ssemugabi scored a brace during Kitara’s 7-0 historic win over Express at the Butema Royal Park in Hoima city.
He was also significant during Uganda Cranes’ 2-0 aggregate victory over Burundi in the 2024 Championship of African Nations (CHAN) qualifiers played at the Hamz Stadium (Nakivubo war memorial grounds).
Okello was team captain for the Uganda Cranes in the double win over Burundi.
Youngster James Bogere, a player at Buganda Regional side Masaka Sunshine emerged as top scorer with 7 goals to his name as Uganda Cubs won the CECAFA U-17 tournament, qualifying to the 2025 AFCON U-17 championship in Morocco.

These awards have been held since 2018, organized by Real Stars Sports Agency.
