Uganda Cup (Round of 64):

Mbale-based Kataka Football Club endured over 720 KM to reach Kisoro in honouring their Uganda Cup Round of 64 contest against Kisoro Young Simba.

Kataka, a Fufa Big League side, won the duel 2-0 thanks to goals from Usama Khayemba and Markus Aka on Thursday, 23rd January 2025.

Kataka’s gruelling trip to the southwest followed their stop in Entebbe for the FUFA Big League duel against Gaddafi (which ended 0-0) at the Entebbe Works Playground.

Kataka this made the grade to the Round of 32 ahead of the draws in the coming weeks.

Meanwhile, Sports Club Villa overcame Buganda Regional side Seeta United 3-0 during another Round of 64 contest at the Seeta Church of Uganda Primary School Playground.

Aslam Ssemakula, Patrick Jonah Kakande and Arnold Odong scored the goals for Sports Club Villa.

Onduparaka failed to travel to Bushenyi for their contest against Bushenyi Veterans whilst Blacks Power reported to Soroti for their match but Soroti Thunders turned up at another venue.

As it stands, Bushenyi Veterans and Blacks Power could also book their berths to the Round of 32 via boardroom decisions.

The winner of the Uganda Cup qualifies to represent the country at the CAF Confederation Cup.
