Denis Iguma has completed a transfer from Police to Kenya’s Tusker FC on a year contract.

The Kenyan side announced the capture of the 63-capped international on deadline day.

The midfielder cum defender is a player with the ability to play anywhere on the field and having featured for Uganda Cranes, SC Villa and SC Victoria University as well as stints abroad, he takes with him a wealth of experience to Kenya.

Tusker FC head coach Charles Okere said: “He’s a player we’re familiar with, having trained with him during our time in Uganda. With his wealth of experience, he will provide much-needed depth to our young squad. His leadership qualities are exceptional, and we’re confident he will be a great asset to the team.”

Tusker FC CEO Sam Nzau said: “We are thrilled to have a player of Dennis Iguma’s caliber with us. Since his arrival, he has shown great positivity, and we are certain he will strengthen our squad as we pursue our goals this season. His experience and leadership, especially in the second half of the campaign, will be invaluable.”

Iguma joins compatriot George Kaddu who has been a hit since his transfer from Wakiso Giants at the start of the season.

Tusker has always been a good hunting ground for Ugandans with Khalid Aucho, Hashim Sempala and Peter Lwasa among others featuring for the club in the past.
