The Fortebet Real Stars monthly awards (January 2025) were held at Lazio restaurant, Kololo, Kampala city.
Outstanding sports personalities in motorsport, Kho Kho and boxing were recognized with plaques and cash.
In Motorsport, the rally crew of Ponsiano Lwakataka & Paul Musaazi won the award after clinching the season opener in Mbarara city.
“It has been great preparations to win the season opener and we are happy for this award” Lwakataka who drives a Subaru N12B spoke to the media.
The duo beat off Ronald Sebuguzi & Anthony Mugambwa as well as the crew of Nasser Mutebi & Steven Bunya.
Kho Kho:
The indoor sport of Kho Kho was recognized for the very first time.
After featuring at the inaugural Kho Kho world cup in India where Uganda finished third, Grace Ojiru was rewarded.
Ojiru was considered ahead of Erinah Nattabi and Rose Nankumba.
Boxing:
In boxing sport, Alfred Ojok with a first round victory over Egyptian opposition Issa Ahmed won.
Ojok who was accompanied by the sister and coach took the award ahead of Majid Kabonge and Latibu Muwonge.
The Fortbet Real Stars monthly awards are organized by Real Stars Sports Agency.
They are bankrolled by Fortebet and Jude Colour Solutions.
These awards have been in existence since 2018.
