Started 8 years ago, the Corporate Games brand continues to garner momentum.

The 2025 edition resumes on Sunday, 2nd March until the end of the year with an annual awards dinner.

There is a new lease of energy with more companies, new games and a new venue; the NEC FC Grounds, Bugolobi in Kampala city.

Kart Racing and Kwepena are the latest games on the already rich menu, joining football, netball, volleyball, woodball, basketball, athletics, aerobics, swimming, Chess, Corporate run, sack race, cycling and the enticing Tug-of-war.

The chairperson of the Corporate Games Ian Rumanyika specially lauds the different companies that have decided to associate with them, hinting that a total of 14 games are on board, including Cart racing and Kwepena.

I would like to thank in a special way all the companies that have been with the Corporate Games. Our key strategic partners as NEC Uzima, betPawa, Cipi events, NODE group, Ritz medical center, Nbs sport as well as the National Lotteries and Gaming Regulatory Board maintained the working relationship. We thank the different company CEO’s for the allowing their staff to be part which part of the nation building.

The Corporate Games build company pride, enhance employee relationships, promote health and fitness as well as foster friendly competition.

The games involved include football, netball, volleyball, cycling, tug-of-war, running, woodball, swimming, sack race, cart racing and the corporate run.

The smile as you contribute to good maternal health

Last season, the proceeds from the Corporate run were channeled to serve a health cause towards the expectant mothers to make a strong case for maternal health and a positive impact in community.

Aligning with the ministry of health, health centers in Gulu city (Northern Uganda) and Iganga district (Eastern Uganda) were identified to work with.

2024 top performers:

St Francis Nsambya Hospital smiled loudest and broadest with the overall gong (Globe trophy) during an epic awards dinner at Hotel Africana in Bugolobi, Kampala.

Darling and Total Energies were the first and second runners up.

Other awards:

St Francis Nsambya Hospital picked the football trophy, Ministry of Internal Affairs (Chairman’s award).

In the star trophy cluster; Lotteries and Gaming Regulatory Board took the rising star award and Uganda Security Printing Company smiled with the best MDA award.

The best private sector award was won by Absa Bank Uganda, Judiciary Uganda (Spotlight award), betPawa Uganda (Impact award), Uganda Heart Institute (Leadership award), National Building Review Board (Sportsmanship award), Pearl Farm Dairies (Team spirit award), NEC Uzima Limited (best partner award), State House (Breakthrough performance award), Uganda Baati Limited (Inspirational team award), Airtel Uganda (Team of the year) and CrestTanks Uganda (Champion of diversity and inclusion).

The manager of the year award was claimed by Uganda Heart Institute as Jesa Farm Dairy Limited won the employee engagement award, Uganda Airlines (People’s choice award), Uganda Industrial Research Institute (best team performance award).

Individual sports:

St Francis Nsambya Hospital were the football and chess kings, UMA won Basketball, SCD Darling took Netball, Cycling and Swimming, PKF was unstoppable in Volleyball and Athletics, Uganda Medical Association (Basketball) whilst Price Waters Coopers championed woodball.
