The Pepsi University Football League 2024-2025 season continued with week 6 action on Friday, 14th February 2025.

ISBAT University secured their first point in the championship with a 1-all draw against the visiting Islamic University In Uganda (IUIU) at the Kanyanya grounds.

ISBAT football team

Joshua Ssentongo scored the opener for ISBAT after a well-taken penalty in the 57th minute, when Bashira Katende was fouled in the goal area.

Faisal Mumali scored the equalizer with two minutes left on the clock, thanks to Faraji Mugambe’s donkey work.

IUIU Football team

Two IUIU players David Mwesigwa and Martin Imunyo were cautioned in this game.

This was the first point for ISBAT University in this league.

IUIU maintained their unbeaten run with the second draw in four matches, as they maintained the leadership status in Group A.

Meanwhile, Kampala University outsmarted Gulu University 3-2 at the YES Center, Nsambya in Group D.

Gilbert Wanuume scored a hat-trick for Kampala University.

Comboni Komakech and Roger Nyeko netted Gulu University’s consolation strikes.

The victory inspired Kampala University to the summit of Group D with nine points, three off Bugema University.

Gulu University stays on four points and Kampala International University (KIU) has fetched a single point.

In Group F; Muteesa 1 Royal University edged Makerere University Business School (MUBS) 1-0 at the Masaka campus grounds.

Musa Sserwanga scored a late-late header off Patrick Busuulwa’s delivery to spark wild celebrations for the home team.

In Group C, St Lawrence University overcame YMCA 3-1 at the Kavule campus playground.

Ronnie Ziraba, Innocent Matege and Lawrence Mugerwa were all on target for St Lawrence University.

David Ochwo got the consolation for YMCA.

St Lawrence University now has 7 points from 4 matches, two ahead of YMCA in Group C.
