The place to be for Squash players in Uganda and from many African countries is Rock Classic Hotel in Tororo district, Eastern Uganda.
Top players from Uganda, Egypt, Ghana, Nigeria, Zimbabwe, Kenya, Tanzania, Zanzibar, Rwanda, Pakistan, India, Namibia and Zambia registered for this championship.
The week-long championship will also be graced by the president of the Africa Squash Federation Dr Millo Lucky who addressed the media on Sunday, 16th February 2025.

Dr. Lucky was flanked by the president of Uganda Squash Rackets Association John Bosco Tamwesigire Ambisibwe, his vice Isa Bbale, general secretary Shiffah Nantambi and Suudi Raji, a representative from Lactic sports, a sports manufacturing company.
“We are ready and all preparations for a successful 2025 Uganda Squash Open championship have been completed. We are grateful to the partners and sponsors; the hosts Rock Classic Hotel, National Council of Sports, Lactic sports and others” Tamwesigire remarked in his address to the media.

Bbale from Rock Classic Hotel promised a very vibrant tournament.
“Rock Classic Hotel Tororo is more than ready to host all the players. The facilities are in the best shape. The playing area, swimming pool, accommodation are all in the best shape” Bbale stated.
With most of the international players already arrived in the country, the Africa federation president Dr Lucky is optimistic of a great championship with high quality competition.
“The Uganda Squash Open is expected to be highly hyped with most international players around and the good prize money. These are good signs of Squash development in Uganda and the East Africa zone” Dr Lucky who donated 240 balls worth Ug.Shs 4,000,000 remarked.





Registration for East African region players is at Ug. Shs 50,000 with 30 USD for international players each.
The organizing team provided airport pick-ups for all international players and transportation for all players to Tororo.
All the meals and accommodation will also be provided, according to the general secretary Nantambi.

Uganda’s current top seed Paul Kadoma expressed readiness to take on the continent’s finest players.
“I have been training and I have confidence that I will perform well and compete for the money” Kadoma, fresh from winning the Nairobi Squash open asserted.
There will be an anti-doping session for all the players.
Juniors enter the courts on Monday before the subsequent classes will follow suit.
