Three clubs shall be promoted to the StarTimes Uganda Premier League by the end of the season whilst four clubs will be demoted to the respective regional leagues.

The second round of the 2024-2025 FUFA Big League officially kicked off on Sunday, 2nd March 2025.

A total of 13 goals in the seven matches played across the different venues.

Buhimba United Saints overcame Calvary 2-1 at the KIgaaya playground in Kikuube district.

Edison Agondeze and Derrick Byabachwezi were on target for Buhimba United Saints.

The victory was good enough for Buhimba United Saints to climb to third place with 26 points from 15 matches.

Buhimba United Saints thus jumped Calvary who stay on 25 points.

Meanwhile, table leaders Gaddafi suffered a 0-1 shock home loss to visiting Kaaro Karungi at the Works playground in Entebbe Municipality.

Gideon Onyango scored a late-late goal in added time of game to earn maximum points for the visitors who are now coached by Richard Makumbi.

This was Makumbi’s first game in charge of Kaaro Karungi and vowed to maintain the status quo.

“This is the start for me and a good start to win away from home. I want to win all the home matches with the objective of promotion” Makumbi stated.

The epic West Nile derby witnessed Paidha Black Angels defeated rivals Onduparaka 3-1 at the Bar Okoro stadium in Zombo.

Frank Muna Kalule, Fredrick Mayindi Junior and former Uganda U-17 player Joel Jangeyambe scored for Paidha Black Angels.

Samson Ceaser Okhuti had the consolation for Onduparaka.

Away in Jinja city, Busoga United edged visiting Kataka from Mbale 1-0 at the Kyabazinga stadium in Bugembe.

MYDA also beat Kiyinda Boys 1-0 at the Kongunga primary school playground in Bukedea district.

Two matches ended in 1-all stalemates; the contest between Ntugasaze and Kigezi Homeboyz in Mityana as well as Arua Hill’s duel with Blacks Power in Gulu city.
