Uganda Women finished eighth in the first round of the 2025 World Rugby HSBC 7s Challenger Series on Sunday while the Men were a place higher.
By virtue of those finishing positions in their respective women’s and men’s competitions, the Lady Rugby Cranes collected six points and the Rugby Cranes had eight.

The second round will be played at the same venue as the first at the Athlone Stadium in Cape Town from March 7-8 (Friday-Saturday).
To progress to the next round in Krakow, the Ugandan teams need to stay within the top eight ranked positions by cumulative points from the first two rounds in Cape Town.
