The two-time African footballer of the year (2001 and 2002) who played for English Premier League entities Liverpool, Bolton Wanderers, Sunderland, Blackburn Rovers, and Leeds United is on the invitation of music ace Eddie Kenzo Musuuza, also a special presidential advisor on creatives.
“We expect El Hadji Diouf on Saturday, 8th March 2025 for a four-day visit to Uganda. He will visit various football programs in the country and also talk to youngsters about career development,” Kenzo confirmed to Kawowo Sports in an interview.

Kenzo also revealed that the local football governing body, the Federation of Uganda Football Associations (FUFA) will be highly involved in the visit of the African football legend.
Among the football establishments he expected to interact with is Big Talent Football Academy which is owned by Kenzo.
El Hadji Diouf had been first invited to Uganda in 2019 but travel hitches failed his movement back then after an Ethiopian Airlines vessel skidded off the lakeside runway during landing in Entebbe.
He is a close friend of Kenzo and the two parties have often met on international tours in Africa, Dubai and Europe.
El Hadji Diouf was born in Dakar, the capital of Senegal.
He moved to France at an early age and played his youth football with Rennes and Sochaux football clubs.
His senior career kicked off at Sochaux. He has since played at Rennes, Lens, Liverpool, Bolton Wanderers, Sunderland, Blackburn Rovers, Rangers, Doncaster Rovers, and Leeds United and retired at Malaysian side Sabah FA.

El Hadji Diouf is best remembered for his craftiness, quick change of pace and trickery on the ball.
He is now a goodwill ambassador for the Government of Senegal, and runs a sports newspaper and a state-of-the-art gymnasium.
