Uganda Cranes will resume to 2026 FIFA World Cup Qualifiers later this month with two crucial games against Mozambique and Guinea.

The first game slated for 20th March 2025 will see Mozambique hosting Uganda.

Despite efforts by the Mozambican Football Federation to host the game in Maputo, CAF deemed that they did not have a stadium that meets the standards to host FIFA-sanctioned games.

Therefore, Mozambique had to find an alternative venue abroad and this has been confirmed today as Egypt. The game will be played at the Cairo International Stadium.

After that, Uganda will return to action on Tuesday, 25th March 2025 at home (Mandela National Stadium) against Guinea.

Uganda is currently fifth in Group G of the FIFA World Cup Qualifiers. Algeria and Mozambique lead with 9 points apiece while Botswana, Guinea and Uganda are level on six points and Somalia sit bottom with no point.

It should be noted that the Group Leaders will automatically qualify to the 2026 FIFA World Cup which will be hosted by USA, Canada and Mexico.
