Ibrahim Wamannah of URA

Uganda Premier League | Fixture

  • Wakiso Giants vs NEC – 4 PM
  • URA vs UPDF – 7 PM

URA will be looking to bounce back when they take on UPDF in a Uganda Premier League encounter at Hamz Stadium, Nakivubo, on Friday.

The Tax Collectors are eager to make amends after suffering a narrow 1-0 defeat to Kitara in their previous match at Royals Park, Buteme.

With fixtures coming thick and fast in the second round of the season, URA understands that there is little room for further slip-ups.

Speaking ahead of the match, URA midfielder Ibrahim Wamannah expressed confidence in his team’s preparations and determination to secure victory.

“We want to win the game against UPDF. We have worked on our mistakes, and I believe we can get the three points,” Wamannah said.

“We are highly motivated for this game. Our previous match didn’t go well, so we need to respond with a win. We have to work hard and get back to winning ways,” he added.

On the other hand, UPDF heads into this fixture full of confidence after a well-executed 2-0 victory over SC Villa at Bombo Barracks Grounds.

Historically, URA has dominated this fixture, winning eight of the last 15 meetings. UPDF has managed two victories, while five matches have ended in draws.

With both teams eager to secure maximum points, an exciting contest is expected at Nakivubo.
