Maroons defeated Sports Club Villa 2-0 on match day 19 of the 2024-2025 Uganda Premier League on Sunday afternoon at the at Muteesa II Wankulukuku Stadium.
A goal in either half from Raymond Walugembe and Abel Michael Eturude gave the Prison Warders the maximum points.

The reigning league champions had opened the day with brilliance when veteran winger Sula “Malouda” Matovu had a flying shot-cum-cross kiss the cross bar in the opening stages of the game.
The visitors took the lead in the 10th minute, thanks to Raymond Walugembe.
Walugembe raced to the ball from Baden Ogama and beat the advancing goalkeeper Meddie Kibirige on the edge of the goal area by slotting the ball in an empty net for the opener.





The second goal came 12 from full-time from SC Villa former player Abel Eturude.
Eturude utilized a well-played through ball by substitute Jackson Nunda to double the lead and secure maximum points.
The maximum points consequently lift Maroons to the 8th place on 27 points from 19 matches.
SC Villa drops to 9th as they remain on 24 points.
