The 115th edition of the Chairman’s Cup got underway at Kampala Club. The tournament has stood the test of time since 1911.
Mandela Group of Companies has officially partnered with Kampala Club ahead of the highly anticipated Chairman’s Cup.
The collaboration was confirmed during a press conference held at Kampala Club, Nakasero, on Monday, March 10, 2025.
As part of the agreement, the Mandela Group of Companies will provide 92 trophies to be awarded to the tournament’s eventual winners.
Herbert Bashasha, the Marketing Manager of the Mandela Group of Companies, expressed the company’s excitement about the partnership.

“We are excited and happy to partner with Kampala Club ahead of the Chairman’s Cup,” Bashasha stated.
“These 92 trophies are our humble contribution. It’s our first time being involved, so let’s see how the games go. Next year, we shall return to the table and speak the same language.”
Kampala Club Chairman Eliot Ainomugisha expressed his gratitude for the generous support from the Mandela Group of Companies.
“We thank the Mandela Group of Companies for their support ahead of the Chairman’s Cup. We are also pleased to announce that more than 600 members have signed up to participate in one or more disciplines,” Ainomugisha said.
He also encouraged the public to come and support the participants as they compete in various disciplines, including lawn tennis, badminton, squash, chess, swimming, and omweso, among others.
The Chairman’s Cup will culminate in a grand finale on Saturday, March 15, 2025.
