In October 2024, Kisubi Mapeera Secondary School turned 25 years since inception under the bold motto “Education is Liberation”.
Over the years, this school has set a precedent on the education front, project works, music, dance, drama, sports and other co-curriculum activities.

Rev. Father Benedict Kaweesa, the head teacher of the school emphasizes that it is their core value to develop a wholistic student.
This is being mindful of the education bit, conduct, discipline and general development of a student.
“We want to add value to individual learners. Students have to enjoy school away from classroom business and sports is one means” Rev. Father Kaweesa asserted after a successful 2025 sports day, that was blessed by a shower of rains.

“Besides, the sports is now a marketing undertaking of society which we should embrace wholesomely” Rev. Father Kaweesa added.
In the athletics events engaged in, the students were involved in the cross country, field events (long and high jumps), short (sprints), middle distance, relays and long races.
Parents, staff (teaching and non-teaching) as well as the little ones also had a fun run supervised by officials from the Uganda Athletics Federation (UAF).
There was also a successful parade which was conducted as the students marched, executing a couple of military drills, much to the delight of the parents, guardians and other invited guests.

By close of business, Kiwanuka House emerged victorious with 616 points.
They were closely followed by Nsubuga House (567 points), Amans House (490 points) and Mapera House (345 points).
Inspector of schools in Wakiso district Jane Diana Namayanja was the chief guest at the event.

Namayanja lauded Kisubi Mapeera SS management for such initiatives as sports which are conducted via-a-vis with education.
I want to appreciate the management of Kisubi Mapeera Secondary School for the efforts to educate the students of the nation and creating other activities as sports, music, dance and drama. All these are in line with the new curriculum which targets the comprehensive development of students into responsible and creative students.
