The BatBall Maxx tournament will kick off the local cricket season as four franchise teams flex for top honours.
The first edition of the franchise league tournament will feature teams named after colour codes; Gold, Emerald, Ruby and Sapphire.
BatBall is a development partner for the Uganda Cricket Association and through their various events which include BatBall Open (Regional Competition) and BatBall X (Regional Competition winners) climaxes with the BatBall Maxx that will feature players carefully selected from those events.
The four sides will play a double round-robin format with two games played a day at the Lugogo Cricket Oval. The tournament will feature two semifinals and a final.
The tournament will run from March 14-23 with two rest days in between the action.
The first edition will also feature at least 10 international players from Rwanda, Kenya and Nigeria to spice up the tournament which will also have a global stream on one of the most popular cricket platforms in the world; FANCODE.
