The USSSA Wakiso regional football (U-20) boys and girls football championship comes to an interesting final bend on Friday, 11th April 2025.

The quarter finals for either gender will be played on the day with the main focus on who qualifies for the nationals due in Ngora come May.

In the boys’ quarter finals match-ups; record winners St Mary’s Kitende take on Kakungulu High School.

St Mary’s Kitende overcame Ndejje SS Lubugumu 3-0 in the round of 16 battle at Kings College Budo main playground under slippery conditions.

Leonard Kasanya, Araafat Nkoola and Isaac Tibankana scored for St Mary’s Kitende.

Cityland College will battle Green Light Islamic SS in the other quarterfinal showdown.

Cityland College had beaten Light High Katikamu 1-0 during the round of 16 while Madinah Islamic overcame Aidan College 2-1.

Standard High School Zzana, winners over St James 2-0 at the round of 16 tussles Madinah Islamic in the third quarter final.

Hosts Buddo SS will lock horns against Kyadondo SS.

Buddo won a nervy post-match penalty shoot-out over a 10-man London College Nansana at the round of 16 stage after normal time had ended 1-all.

London College Nansana took the lead through Owen Lubega in the opening half before Abasi Kisambira leveled the matters during the second half.

Kyadondo SS was confirmed on Friday morning following a continuation of their match with Kisozi High School that had been abandoned a day earlier.

Normal time ended 1-goal apiece before Kyadondo SS won the tense penalty shoot-out.

Girls:

In the girls’ quarter finals,St Noa Girls will face Standard High School Zzana, Taggy High School against Rayan Islamic School, Fairway High School with Rines SS and Aidan College up against London College Nansana.

The quarter finals and semi-finals will be played on Friday evening ahead of the grand finale on Tuesday, 15th April 2025 at the Wakisha resource center stadium (Kabaka Kyabaggu).

The fifth slot per gender is determined via a promotional play-off (Europa).
