Overview:
Uganda’s junior team has Anthony Otukei (Captain), Peter Mayende, Shaka Kariisa and John Paul Rugumambaju for boys while the girls’ side has Rachael Laura Natukunda, Keisha Wiltshire Kagoro and Elizabeth Danelle Kawalya.
2025 All Africa Junior Golf Championship

- Venue: The Residence Golf Course, Tunisia
It is all systems go for team Uganda and the rest of Africa as the 2025 All Africa Junior Golf Championship tees off at The Residence Golf Course in Tunisia.
Following successful travel of the team that is led by team manager Paul Habyarimana and coached by Flavia Namakula, the players held acclimatization sessions on the course with the final finishing on the range, greens, fair-ways and the pairings.
The official practice round was on Wednesday and later the flag raising ceremony.
Round one tees off on Thursday morning with the finest African juniors in action.

Peter Mayende swings off at 9:20 AM alongside Kenya’s Junaid Ayaz Manji and Tunisian Ghaith Rhimi.
Ten minutes later, John Paul Rugumambaju will be in action alongside Justin Ngeera (Kenya) and Ben Youssef Mahdi (Tunisia).
At 9:40 AM, Shaka Ndyabahika Kariisa will swing off alongside Nathan Mwangi (Kenya) and Tunisian youngster Selim Haouala.
Uganda’s team captain Antony Otukei faces Tsevi Soni (Kenya) and Wissem Zitouni (Tunisia) in a game that swings off at 9:50 AM.

Girls:
Elizabeth Danelle Kawallya, fresh from the Big 5 championship in South Africa will be in action against Botswana’s Tuduetso Tangiso Onyadile and Lily Marie Elizabeth Ascott (Zimbabwe).
Racheal Laura Natukunda faces Maru Chokwe (Botswana) and Zarina Makwarimba (Zimbabwe).
Another Ugandan girl in action will be Keisha Wiltshire Kagoro in a game against Zimbabwe’s Miriam Masiya.
“We prepared well and I am confident that we shall perform to the best of our expectations” Namakula remarked as the team was officially flagged off by National Council of Sports (NCS) general secretary Dr. Bernard Patrick Ogwel.
The hosts Tunisia are joined by Morocco, South Africa, Uganda, Zimbabwe, Kenya, Egypt, Zambia, Namibia, Mauritius, Ivory Coast and Botswana.
