The 2025 Uganda Secondary Schools Sports Association (USSSA) Boys U-20 Football championship will take place at the various playgrounds in Ngora district.
Following the arrival of the different schools since Friday, the gruelling verification process for the academic and birth documents has been on and will be completed by Tuesday morning.
Action on the field of play proper rolls off by 2 PM on Tuesday afternoon.
There are a number of matches lined up at the various playgrounds.
St Julian High School Mukono, the reigning champions of this championship, faces Rwenzori region’s Garama Secondary School in one of the 2 PM games at BKC Demo primary school playground in group A.
Led by head coach Felix Kawooya Ssekabuuza, St Julian High School faces a stern test of character as they pursue a successful title defence.
Garama SS from Kasese district is also not a mere walk in the park, having stretched the Rwenzori champions Fort Portal SS during the zone finals, losing out in spot-kicks 5-3 after normal time had ended 1-all.
Other 2 PM matches:
In group C, Kichwamba High School will lock horns against Standard High School, Zzana at the Ngora High School 2 playground.
Kayunga district’s Namagabi SS faces Bishop Angero Ngeri at Ngora Boys Primary School playground in group D.
Mt Zion High School and Lubiri SS face off at Apama Primary School in group E.
In group F, Lira Town College will square up against St Kagwa Bushenyi at Ngora Girls Secondary School.
Nyamitanga Secondary School and Jinja Comprehensive play at St Aloysius PTC 1 in group G.
Nabumali High School play Masaka’s Wagwa High School at Ngora High School 1 whilst Notre Dame Hogh School wil play Bugisu High School at St Aloysius PTC 2.
4 PM:
Multiple winners Kibuli SS open up at 4 PM against Wakiso district opposition GreenLight Islamic at the Ngora High School playground in group O.
In group J, Chemwania High School play Busia SS at Ngora Boys Primary School, Wisdow High entertains MUMSA High School in group K at Apama Primary School.
In group L, Mwoyo Star High School take on St Lawrence High School Crown City whilst Fort Portal SS will play Masaka SS at Ngora Girls Secondary School.
For group N, Arengesiep SS open their campaign against Devine College at the St Aloysius PTC 1 playground.
The championship will climax on 15th May 2025, hosted by Ngora High School.
