The 2025 Uganda Secondary Schools Sports Association (USSSA) boys football U-20 championship officially kicked off on a high tempo in Ngora district, Tuesday, May 6 afternoon.
There were a couple of games played at the different grounds rotating around the host school, Ngora High.
Defending champions St Julian High School overturned a goal deficit to defeat face Rwenzori region’s Garama SS 3-1 during a group A contest played on a bumpy BKC Demo primary school playground.

Group G:
Nyamitanga Secondary School overcame Jinja Comprehensive School 2-0. Mark Tushabe and Jamaldin Baluku scored in either half.
P:
In group P, Amus College School andMasindi Secondary School shared the spoils during a 1-all stalemate at the St Aloysious CORE PTC playground 2.
Davis Busuulwa gave Amus College School the early lead on 3 minutes.
Brian Wagabuli then found the equalizer in the second half.
Amus College would have restored their lead but Bashir Mansoor watched in disbelief when his weak penalty was saved by the goalkeeper.
Group I:
Masaka based Notre Dame High School fell 1-2 to Bugisu High School at the St Aloysious CORE PTC playground 2 in group I.
Emmanuel Watiti gave Bugisu High School the first half lead with a well struck free-kick.
Junior Ssemanda then equalized with a header after a goal melee as the second stanza restarted.
Ali Karim won the game for Bugisu High School inside the final 10 minutes of the game.
Group M:
Fort Portal Secondary School recovered from a goal to share the spoils with Masaka Secondary School at Ngora Girls playground.
Mubarak Tumwine gave Masaka SS the lead before Derrick Ssozi replied with a well struck penalty for Fort Portal SS. Both goals arrived in the first half.
Group N:
Atengesiep Secondary School from Moroto edged Devine College Buyaga 1-0 courtesy of Aloysious Otimat at the St Aloysious CORE PTC playground 1.
