St Mary’s Kitende confirms quarter final berth after victory over Blessed Sacrament Kimanya | 2025 USSSA Boys’ football

Multiple time winners of the national USSSA boy’s football championship St Mary’s Boarding School Kitende majestically marched to the quarter finals of the on-going tournament in Ngora district.

St Mary’s Kitende dismantled Blessed Sacrament Kimanya from Masaka zone 3-0 in a one-sided duel on Sunday.

Teso Zone’s Bukedea Comprehensive School needed a late goal to shred off Kawempe Muslim opposition 1-0.

Farouk Tumwesigye, Ashraf Kyakuwa and South Sudanese U-20 player Santos Agok were on target for Kitende.

Also, Mentor SS edged Jinja Comprehensive School 1-0 with Gabriel Oyuru scoring the goal as early as the third minute.

Other round of 16 contests:

Wakiso zone’s Kyadondo SS also made it to the quarter final stage with a 1-0 win over Kichwamba SS from Rubiriizi district.

Moses Kalule scored Kyadondo SS’ only goal on the day.

Jinja Progressive Academy (JIPRA) also progressed to the quarter finals at the expense of the reigning champions St Julian High School.

JIPRA convincingly beat St Julian High School 3-1 with Asuman Kayondo and Simon Achiidi (brace) the scorers.

James Ssekate scored the consolation for St Julian High School.

All the round of 16 matches will be completed on Sunday ahead of Monday’s quarter final duels.
