Algeria and South Africa join Uganda, Guinea and Niger in Group C of the CHAN 2025 finals, to be played in August.
The Algerians beat visiting Gambia 3-0 in Annaba to win the tie 3-0 on aggregate after a goalless draw in the reverse fixture.
Adil Boulbina, the youngster leading the goal scoring charts in the Algeria league scored a brace while Abderrahmane Meziane scored the other goal.
Algeria will be looking to win the championship set for August after finishing as runners -up in the last edition.
Meanwhile, South Africa overturned a 1-0 first leg deficit to beat Malawi 2-0 at Loftus.
Victor Letsoalo and Neo Maema got the goals for the Bafana Bafana who return to the tournament after 12-year absence when they hosted the competition in 2014.
