The FUFA Big League season 2024-2025 continued with match day 24.

Buhimba United Saints stormed the summit with a clinical 2-1 home win over Booma in the Bunyoro derby played at Kigaya playground in Kikuube district.

Eric Washington Nyonyintono struck a wonder goal straight from a corner kick as the first half climaxed.

Edson Agondeze netted the winner off Lucas Mola assist in the 65th minute.

Buhimba United Saints played their 24th game of the season and has now accumulated 45 points, three off second placed Blacks Power.

Blacks Power has collected 42 points from 23 games.

For the second consecutive time in a space of three days, Blacks Power fell when they lost 0-1 to Paidha Black Angels in Zombo.

Benjamin Opakrwoth scored the important goal for Paidha Black Angels, a well struck penalty in the 85th minute.

Paidha Black Angels has now collected 40 points and keeps within touching distance with the top three.

In other games, MYDA continued with their desperate fight against relegation, winning 3-1 at home over Arua Hill in Bukedea district.

Eric Kamuhanda scored a brace and Masuudi Kafumbe added the other goal.

Ntugasaze twice came from a goal down to overcome visiting Busoga United 3-2 in Mityana.

At Barthleme playground, Kiyinda Boys and Kigezi Home Boyz played to a 2-all draw.

The contest between Onduparaka and Kataka was postponed since the latter were engaged in the return leg of the Stanbic Uganda Cup semifinal against KCCA in Mbale (game ended 1-1 as KCCA marched to the final, 4-1 on aggregate).

Three clubs will be promoted to the StarTimes Uganda Premier League with four clubs demoted to the respective regional leagues.

As it stands, Booma (19), Busoga United (23), Kigezi Home Boyz (24) and Arua Hill (25) are all in the dangerous relegation red zone.
