It rained a lot during the grand finale of the 2024-2025 Kampala region play-off at the MTN Omondi Stadium, Lugogo on Sunday, 25th May 2025.

The rains conveyed a special message of joy for CATDA Football Club who won the final 4-2 in nail-biting post-match penalties.

Normal time for this end to end duel produced no clear cut winner, ending in a goalless stalemate.

Bernard Alijuna and Emmanuel Ssekandi missed their respective kicks for Ntinda United whilst Micheal Abura also missed for CATDA Football Club.

Individual awards:

Meanwhile, CATDA Football Club will now face the winner between Buganda region’s Kira United and Super Eagles Lugongwe to determine who comes to the FUFA Big League.

Kira United and Super Eagles Lugongwe will face off on Sunday 1st June at Lugazi FC Stadium to decide the champion of the Buganda Regional League.

Kira United topped Sezibwa group with 59 points from 24 games while Super Eagles Lugongwe also topped Katonga Group with 53 points from 23 games.

The winner between CATDA FC (Kampala Regional League champion) and the Buganda Regional League champion will join the FUFA Big League for the forthcoming season 2025-2026.
