There was no shortage of glamour at the Green Park end of 2024/25 season awards at the Green Park stadium, Mbarara over the weekend where Arafat Nsubuga and Patrick Muhanguzi bagged the best player award.
Nsubuga won the Most Valuable Player of the season in the open category while Muhanguzi won the 35+ category top award.
On a night of several winners, open league category champions Eddie Suits as well as Super Cup winners in the same category Amka International Real Estates plus champions Turf Today, league and cup winners in the 35+ category were also awarded with a trophy and gold medals.
There were also individual awards given to the top scorers in all categories, the best female players, the referees, media personalities and other officials including team medics.
Each team was also awarded with a plaque as an appreciation for being part of the competitions that were sponsored by among others Green Park, Olive Pharmacy, Coca Cola, Amka International Real Estates, Beyichini Real Estates and Mbarara Sports Academy.
Beyichini hands Arafat Nsubuga land title
Meanwhile, the season’s best male player Nsubuga was also gifted a plot of land by Beyichini Real Estates management as part of the promises at the start of the season.
Nsubuga received the title of the land worth 12 decimals on Tuesday May 27, 2025 at the Estates offices before he was taken to the ground.
