City Oilers secured a well-deserved 87-48 victory against Livingstone in the National Basketball League at YMCA Court, Wandegeya, on Sunday.
Livingstone raced to a five-point (15-10) lead at the end of the first period before City Oilers turned the tables, taking a three-point (31-28) lead into the long break.
Coming from the halftime break, City Oilers opened up a huge 33-point lead at the end of the third period.
Despite Livingstone’s fight in the final period, they lost by 39 points in the opening game of the second round.
Fayed Baale (19 points), Benjamin Kawumi (16 points), and Malual Dier led City Oilers’ scoring chart in double digits.
Only Isaac Athuai Akoal reached double digits for Stone City after pouring in 14 points.
