Yashashvi Joshi was the star man on Sunday afternoon at Lugogo Cricket Oval as Avengers handed Wanderers a fifth defeat of the 50-over season.
Joshi spread the ball in all corners of Lugogo en route to a first league century to help Avengers post a 7-wicket win.
Wanderers won the toss and chose to bat on the flat deck. The decision was backed up by patient batting from Abdul Basit Habib (64 off 99) and an aggressive knock from Davis Karashani (70 off 35) as the side posted a competitive 250/8 in their 50 Overs.

Suleman Sharif (26), Ivan Kakande (18), and Perry Wazombe (15), who did not get going, came in handy.
“For us as a club, there was not a single game we had batted all our 50 Overs and we set that as a target coming into this game and the fact that we did that is a big positive for us to take,” Karashan said.
David Wabwire (3/46) was the pick of the bowlers, taking the big scalps of Wasim Butt, Vamsi Krishna and Habib. Nasta Girish (2/32) and Joshi (1/39), who got rid of the dangerous Wazombe, had economical bowling quarters.
In the run chase, Avengers put on an opening stand of 53 before Abhishek Mashru was trapped lbw by Abrar Ul Haq just after finding the boundary at deep extra cover on the previous ball.
Abraiz Mir Ali joined Joshi at the crease, and the pair stuck in pushed the game to 200 before the latter was caught at deep square leg by Krishna after a lazy shot and departed for 100.

Ali would later depart for 62, leaving Christopher Kidega (29) and Muhammed Aneef (19) to knock off the required runs for the win.
