Magic Stomers see off Nkumba Lady Marines in a 74-67 victory of the National Basketball League encounter at the Lugogo Indoor Arena on Wednesday.
The Lady Marines started on the front foot with a three-point (18-15) lead at the end of the opening period.
However, tables turned in the second period as the Magic Stomers took a five-point (35-30) lead going into the long break.
Coming from the locker rooms, the Magic Stomers extended the lead to 16 points at the end of the third period.
Despite the fight by the Lady Marines in the final period, they trailed by seven points at the end of the game.
Daphine Adong and Martha Nakalembe scored 18 points each to lead the Magic Stomers’ scoring chart.
Mellisa Kyazze (23 points and 16 rebounds), Mary Segendo (16 points and 16 points) and Joseph Manuella (10 points) led the charge for the Lady Marines
