Vipers SC right back Nicholas Wadada is excited to return to the Uganda National Team, Uganda Cranes fold.

The roving fullback has returned to the national team since his last call in 2021. He was then overlooked in the years that followed his move to Tanzania.

However, he is part of the Uganda Cranes squad that travelled to Morocco, where they will play two international friendlies against Cameroon and Gambia.

“I am happy to be part of the team. It’s a blessing to be recalled and the mood is high since all the players are ready to take their chances,” he noted.

“As a player, I hardly take it for granted to have a chance to represent my country because it is every athlete’s dream to do so,” he added.

According to the experienced right back, the call will push him to double his efforts so that he claims a permanent place in the squad.

Wadada had a decent season as he was part of the Vipers squad that managed to clinch the Uganda Premier League title and Uganda Cup trophy.
