Kawempe Muslim took advantage in their contest against St. Noa Girls FC as the two teams faced off on Thursday.

In the first leg of the FUFA Women’s Cup semifinals played at the Valley Ground, the Warriors edged the game 1-0.

Jovia Nakagolo scored the lone goal of the game in the 34th minute to guide Kawempe to victory.

The gangly forward beat St. Noa back line for pace before firing a low drive past goalkeeper Lillian Nakirya.

Despite efforts to fight back in the second half by St. Noa, the hosts defended resiliently to see out the result.

The two teams will face off again in the return leg on Sunday at Kabaka Kyabaggu Stadium.

On the same day, Amus College will host Uganda Martyrs, whom they defeated 3-1 in the first leg.
