KCCA Leopards secured a well-deserved 75-61 victory against the KIU Rangers in the National Basketball League encounter at Lugogo Indoor Arena on Friday.
The Leopards initially fell behind, trailing 18-14 at the end of the first period. However, they bounced back strongly, taking an eight-point lead (40-32) by halftime.
After the break, the Rangers escalated their efforts but still found themselves trailing by four points.
In the final quarter, the Leopards effectively controlled the game, ultimately securing a 14-point win.
Asinah Kabendela stood out on both ends of the court, registering a double-double with 12 points and 10 rebounds.
Perus Nyamwenge contributed 20 points, while Susan Aanyu and Margaret Bagaala added 15 and 10 points, respectively.
Sarah Yaweh led with a team-high 16 points for the Rangers, followed by Racheal Nanyonga with 15 points, Elizabeth Aguti Akol with 13 points, and Sharon Kirabo with 12 points.
