Namuwongo Blazers secured an 83-57 victory against KCCA Panthers in the National Basketball League encounter at Lugogo Indoor Arena on Wednesday.

Before tip-off, the Blazers introduced Anthony Chukwuebuka and Ivan Muhwezi, their latest signings in the spirit of strengthening their squad.

Davis Asiimwe’s three-point jump shot concluded the first period as the Panthers trailed by seven points (18-11).

Moses Mugisha’s long shot beyond the arc extended the Blazers’ lead to 22 points (42-20) going into the long break.

Coming from the locker room, the Panthers improved but still trailed by 21 points (60-39) at the end of the third quarter.

The new boy, Muhwezi, sealed the 26-point victory with a couple of long shots that concluded the game in front of a loud crowd.

Joel Lukoji (16 points), Innocent Ochera (12 points) and James Okello (10 points) led the scoring for Blazers in double digits.

Only Ivan Lumanyika reached the double digits for KCCA with 10 points.
