CECAFA Women’s Championship | Fixture
- Kenya vs South Sudan – 4 PM
- Uganda vs Tanzania – 7 PM
The Uganda Senior Women’s Football National Team, Crested Cranes will conclude the CECAFA Women’s Championship with a tricky fixture against Tanzania.
With two losses in three games, Uganda cannot afford to fault any further though Tanzania pose a slippery ground for Crested Cranes to walk on.
According to Sheryl Botes, the Crested Cranes’ head coach, the target is to finish on a high.
“We have to deal with the pressure because Tanzania has the advantage because they are the hosts and the group has been together for time,” she said.
“It’s going to be a challenge for the girls but we shall try to respond with a good plan. We have to take our chances and not be scared to play because we have to finish on a high,” he added.
Tanzania is at the top of the five-team log with six points in two games, having scored 10 goals and conceded none.
In the last four matches between the two teams, Tanzania has won three times while Uganda has secured one victory.
