A famous quote reads, “Believe you can and you’re halfway there.”

Gaddafi Football Club defender Savio Kabugo says he is the best defender in Uganda.

Speaking to NBS Sport, the lanky defender expressed a great level of confidence, rating himself highest on the list of defenders in Uganda.

“I am the best defender in Uganda,” the lanky defender confidently said.

“Most of the defenders in the country are young and very talented. I respect them so much, but they also know I am the best,” he added.

“My career has faced challenges, and I have found myself down on different occasions, but I am working hard to improve, and I clearly know I am the best.”

Kabugo was instrumental in Gaddafi’s fight to gain promotion to the Uganda Premier League after a successful FUFA Big League campaign.

Kabugo played three-thirds of Gaddafi’s games in the Big League campaign that he termed tough and challenging.

With only eight caps for the Uganda National Team, Uganda Cranes, he still dreams of representing his beloved country.

“I am in a massive shape. I feel good and will work hard to see that I return to the National team because I still have a lot to offer to my beloved country.”
