Overview:
Joseph Opio Okurut boldly envisages the future as bright and has the high hopes that with unity, the club will even rise higher.
Uganda Printing and Publishing Corporation (UPPC) engineered the promotion of a football entity, Gaddafi FC, to the Uganda Premier League.
This followed a stellar performance in the 2024-2025 FUFA Big League, where they completed the season with 50 points, the same as third-placed Buhimba United Saints and the winners, Calvary (52 points).
UPPC Football Club president Joseph Opio Okurut is humbled by the contribution of the different stakeholders whose collective effort worked in unison to enable the club to get promotion to the UPL.

From the top and senior management at UPPC, the administrators and support staff, players, loyal fans, sponsors, partners and other stakeholders, Okurut expressed gratitude upon attaining the historic feat as Entebbe will shine once again in the top tier of Uganda’s football pyramid.
It is with immense pride and gratitude that I extend my heartfelt congratulations to each and everyone of you following our successful promotion to the Uganda Premier League. This historic achievement marks a new chapter in our football journey and stands as a testament to the collective effort, resilience, and unity that defines UPPC. Our loyal fans, players, administrators and support staff, top and senior management, stakeholders, sponsors and partners, we celebrate, we recognize that this is just the beginning. We have learned valuable lessons throughout this journey, and as we step into the Uganda Premier League, we do so with a promise to our fans. We are committed to growth, excellence, and becoming a team of choice.
Joseph Opio Okurut, president UPPF Football Club

Okurut boldly envisages the future as bright and has high hopes that with unity, the club will even rise higher.
“For the badge. For the people. For the future,” he signs out.
Goalkeeper Muhammed Ssekebba was the most outstanding in the entire league with 15 clean sheets. This is the second time that Ssekebba deservedly earns the Golden Gloves award after guiding Mbarara City to promotion at the MTN Omondi Stadium – Lugogo, over Masaka’s Synergy.

Savio Kabugo, Brian Enzama, Simon Namwanja, Michael Lubowa and Ahmed Amayo shone brightest in defence.
Davis Kasirye and Jonathan Mbula were the highest scorers for the club while skipper Thomas Kakaire, Samuel Kawawa Junior and Duncan Ezikiel Sseninde were outstanding midfielders.

The club commenced the season with Allan Kabonge as head coach right from the pre-season until mid-way, when he was replaced by Robert “Kiyenje” Mukasa for the final bend.
Preparations to have a tranquil new season commenced moments after promotion as the club will undertake the grueling club licensing protocols.

First things first, the club awaits the FUFA Executive committee on the change of identity status, with approval of admission coming at the forthcoming FUFA Elective Assembly in Hoima.
Then, the club has to confirm a standard facility that will host their home matches for the season with a different football office, players’ and officials’ employment contracts, youth team, women’s team, as well as an independent financial account.
