Fred Muhumuza’s coaching stint is literally at its initial stage but he has coached a couple of talented players.
The Vipers SC co-coach, currently managing the Uganda Cranes team preparing for the Africa Nations Championship (CHAN) revealed this while speaking to NBS Sport.
“I have had great players,” he replied when asked who the greatest player he has managed. “Mentioning one would offend the rest and by the way, you will be shocked,” he added before revealing the name – Derrick Ndahiro.
“He is an extra ordinary talent. He is a very intelligent player and will understand something with just a clique. He is a leader with his young age, plays with both the left and right foot. Where you think he is weaker, that is probably his strength.
“So, if there is an intelligent player that was groomed and nurtured here, it is Ndahiro.”
Muhumuza alongside John ‘Ayala’ have won the league and cup double last season and he is already focused on doing well with the Uganda Cranes CHAN team, the Super Cup, Fufa Super 8 and defending their two trophies next season.
