Buganda Masaza Cup 2025 (Match day 1)
Masengere Group:
- Kyaddondo 1-0 Bulemeezi
- Mawokota 2-1 Buweekula
- Bugerere 1-1 Buvuma
Muganzirwazza Group:
- Kyaggwe 2-0 Kkooki
- Kabula 0-0 Ssingo
- Mawogola 1-0 Butambala
Bulange Group:
- Buddu 1-0 Gomba
- Busujju 1-0 Busiro
- Ssese 0-2 Buluuli
Match day one of the 2025 Buganda Masaza football competition was completed on Sunday, 29th June at the different fields across the Kingdom.
2008 champions Kyaddondo commenced this year’s championship on a bright note with a 1-0 win over visiting Bulemeezi at the Hamz Stadium (Nakivubo war memorial grounds) in Saturday’s duel.
Second half substitute Sudais Sentamu scored Kyadondo’s goal with less than 10 minutes to play.




It was a game of two different variations with the opening half belonging to Bulemeezi who were unable to find the break-through before the hosts took over the second stanza.
A mammoth crowd watched this duel as Kyaddondo who are coached by Meddie Nyanzi earned maximum points at home.
“It is a good start to begin with three points. We collected ourselves for the second half and worked out to get the maximum points. I thank the players for the special effort” Nyanzi revealed.





In the other Masengere group games, Mawokota edged visiting Buweekula 2-1 in Buwama.
George Isingoma scored a brace for Mawokota, three time champions in this competition.
Candia Benon got the consolation for Buweekula who are coached by Felix Kawooya Ssekabuuza.
The contest between Bugerere and Buvuma ended all square at one-goal apiece.
Ibrah Kasakya scored Buvuma’s goal whilst Osaman Mayanja netted the one for the home side, Bugerere.
Muganzirwazza Group:
In Muganzirwazza group, Kyaggwe stormed the summit with a 2-0 home win over Kkooki at the Bishops SS playground in Mukono.
David Mugalu and Yosam Ssembalirwa scored Kyaggwe’s goals.
Mawogola closely follows after a 1-0 victory over Butambala courtesy of Jabel Ndugu’s strike.
The Kabula and Ssingo game did not have any goals after normal time.
Bulange Group:
Following the official opening match that witnessed Buddu pip Gomba 1-0 at the Kitovu Sports Arena in Masaka the previous weekend, Busujju also recorded a similar score over 2022 winners at Kakindu.
Lauben Lubwama scored Busujju’s sole goal in the match.
Buluuli is ahead of Buddu and Busujju with a goal advantage following a 2-0 win on the road at Ssese.
Match day two will come this following weekend at the different venues.
Players who have played at the FUFA Big League and Uganda Premier League levels are not allowed to feature in the Buganda Masaza Cup.
The same applies to those who have played for the senior national team, Uganda Cranes.
