KCCA co-coach Jackson ‘Nelly’ Magera is already living his coaching dream.

Magera who managed the club on interim after the sacking of first Sergio Traguil and then Abdallah Mubiru says his dream was always to manage a big club in Uganda.

“My number one dream was to manage any big club in this country,” Magera told KCCA FC TV.

“Good enough, I started with Villa which is one of the most successful clubs and now KCCA so I thank God to have this opportunity.”

Magera managed Villa in the 2023/24 season guiding the Jogoos to second position losing the league on the final day.

Speaking on his interim roles, Magera who will now co-work with Brian Ssenyondo says it is not always healthy to serve in that capacity always.

First of all, I want to thank coach Mike Mutebi for mentoring me well.

“For that point of interim, it is not so good because sometimes you don’t want to see the people you started working leaving and they say you are now going to take over is not so healthy.

“But according to the club’s demands and maybe regulations, you are entitled to do that interim job.”

Magera and Ssenyondo will hope to end a six year trophy drought at KCCA next season.
