Africa rally championship title contenders are expected to tighten their grip in the title race when the round three of the championship revs off with the Mountain Gorilla rally in Rwanda this weekend.

Six crews have been  categorised under the ARC.

Leading crew; Uganda’s Yasin Nasser and Ali Katumba in the Ford Fiesta rally2 head to Rwanda with  63 points. However, the Moil crew must up their game to keep within the podium finish to ensure a top spot after the rally.

Kenya’s Nikhil Sachania and Deep Patel in the Ford Fiesta rally3 are only 13 points behind leader.

The crew’s consistency could yet again secure them maximum points for ARC and ARC3 category respectively.

Samman Vohra and Drew Sturrock in the Skoda Fabia rally2 head to Rwanda with fresh memories of their last performance in the Pearl of Africa Uganda rally in May.

Vohra’s performance in Uganda despite being short lived, was a stamp of approval to his pace. The Kenyan will be in the spotlight once again as he fights for ARC points.
