The camp focuses on young players aged 12 to 16, particularly those with handicaps of 20 or better.

I’m excited to be here. Uganda has some incredible young talent. This camp is about more than just swing mechanics we’re helping kids understand course strategy, develop mental toughness, and learn the values that come with the game.

On the course, he’s competed at a high level on the European Senior Tour and was a top four finisher in the 2023 European Long Drive Championship.

The junior camp is part of AFRIYEA Golf Academy’s broader mission to grow the game across East Africa, using golf not only to build sporting skills but also to instil discipline, confidence, and life values.

Golf is a game of character, and that’s exactly what we’re building here. Partnering with someone like Philippe is not just about technique. It’s about showing our juniors what’s possible if they work hard and stay committed and the goal of the camp is to discover how these young talents can be transformed to dominate the game of golf globally in future.

The sessions, held daily at Toro Golf Club, feature hands-on instruction from Corsaletti, covering full-swing analysis, short game, putting under pressure, and on-course play.

The camp will culminate in a mini tournament where the juniors will test their improved skills in a competitive setting.

As Corsaletti gets to work with the young players, the atmosphere at Toro is electric with hope and ambition.

For many of the children involved, this camp may be their first step toward competing on the international stage and thanks to Philippe and AFRIYEA as they will look on how to build the next step from this camp.
