Moses Magogo Hassim has on Saturday been confirmed as the FUFA President for the term 2025-2029. The election took place during the 101st FUFA Ordinary General Assembly.
Magogo returned unopposed for his fourth term and was elected by acclamation in the event that took place at Hoima Resort Hotel in Kitara Region.
The FUFA Boss ascended to the helm in 2013, succeeding Dr. Lawrence Mulindwa and has since then overseen the growth and development of the game in areas of governance, competitions, national teams, and business among others.
In the same breath, the FUFA Executive Committee that will serve under Magogo for the next four years was also named.
The majority of people who have served under the previous term have been retained.
Justus Mugisha remains the first Vice President, with Florence Nakiwala Kiyingi as the third Vice President.
Others include Rogers Mulindwa (Buganda), Ronnie Kalema (Referees), Rasoul Ariga (West Nile), Issa Magoola (Eastern), Agnes Mugena (North East), Rogers Byamukama (Kitara), Apollo Ahimbisibwe (Kampala), Dan Obote (Northern) and Frank Ankuzire (Western).
The new entrants include: Dr. Twaibu Azar who has been heading the FUFA Judicial Bodies has been named the 2nd Vice President, replacing the late Darius Mugoye who passed on in 2023.
Deo Mutabazi who is the chairman of the Uganda Beach Soccer Association (UBSA) and BUL FC Chairman Ronald Barente are the other new entrants.
Abdul Ssekabira Lukooya who served as Executive Committe member between 2017-2021 bounces back, replacing Sam Mpiima.
Richard Ochom who has been serving as an executive member in the previous terms is the other person who has not returned.
