Uganda Premier League side Kitara Football Club has appointed George Lutalo as head coach on a two-year employment contract.
The announcement was made public via a statement shared on the club’s official social media handles today, Monday, July 7, 2025.
“Mr Lutalo George William, previously the Assistant Coach has been appointed as the head coach while Mr Wasswa Bossa will now assume the role of assistant coach,” the statement partly reads.
According to Kitara FC, the renewal of contracts for their technical team for a further two years is to reaffirm their commitment to the stability of the club.
The confirmation of the club’s backroom staff will be made as soon as they finalise internal consultations and alignments.
The restructuring of positions is intended to fulfil a requirement set by the FUFA Club Licensing Committee, which states that a head coach must possess a CAF A badge.
