The National Women’s Basketball Team, the Gazelles is set to take their 2025 FIFA Women’s AfroBasket preparation to Egypt.

The announcement was made public via an official statement shared by the Gazelles’ media team.

“The Gazelles will intensify their preparations for the upcoming FIBA Women’s AfroBasket 2025 with a high-performance training camp in Egypt,” the statement partly reads.

Gazelles are set to depart for Cairo on Friday, July 11, where they are expected to take part in three practice games against Egypt, Rwanda and Cameroon.

The practice games will be held at Mostapha Sports Halls in Cairo from July 12 to 15 as the team continues to sharpen its skills ahead of the continental showpiece.

The team will relocate to Alexandria after the practice games to ensure a smooth process for team cohesion and tactical refinement.

The team will depart from Alexandria on July 24 for Abidjan, Ivory Coast, as the highly anticipated AfroBasket tournament starts two days later.
