The semi-final stage for the 2025 Entebbe Stanbic match play golf challenge was successfully held on Saturday, 12th July at the par-71 lake side course.

The pairings of Picole Lukyamuzi and Henry Nsubuga will lock horns against Charles Kabunga and Steven Kitamirike in the long-awaited grand finale next month (2nd August 2025).

In the semi-final show down, the first match witnessed Lukyamuzi playing alongside Nsubuga overcame the set of Basabose and Karisa 5/4.

For the second match, the pair of Kabunga and Kitamirike defeated Atukunda and Katwebaze 3/1.

For the 3rd & 4th place-off, John Paul Basabose and playing mate Kin Kariisa will face Evelyne Atukunda & Ellis Katwebaze for the bronze medal match.

The group A winner was Robbins Mwehaire (handicap 8) with 42 points.

Shaka Karisa (handicap 6) scored 39 points to take runners up slot.

For men group B, Edwin Tabaro (handicap 18) won the pool on countback with 37 points ahead of Collins Aritua.

Henry Baguma (handicap 36) toppled the rest with 39 points, a point better than Charles Kizito (handicap 23).

Ladies:

Bridget Basiima, playing off handicap 13 tallied 42 points to win group A ahead of Rita Akot Apell (handicap 16) with 34 points.

In group B, Edith Wamalwa (handicap 16) won with 45 points, ahead of Maureen Okura (handicap 21) with 32 points.

Side-bets:

Ben John swung longest among the men. Carol Nteeba and Twinemanzi Tumubweine won the nearest to the pin contest in the female and male categories respectively.
